Day Eight - Kaprije to Skradin |
|
After the quayside briefing (disturbed only by the cats fighting) we set off for the upriver trip to Skradin ready for the waterall trip the following day. After a gentle start the wind picked up and we had some great sunny sailing as you can see from the pictures. We stopped in a bay on the south of Tijat with quite a few other boats before setting off up the channel to Skradin. The trip up the channel was really interesting and was a welcome change of scenery - different shaped rocks and trees! The lookout dog on the local boat was useless - he didn't even bark even though we were on collision course. Skradin was a nice town despite the obvious marks of trouble - bullet holes in the plaster on many buildings. A group meal that night was a stew like dish cooked in a large pot - very tasty - or fish platter. A late night on Pegasus with guests from Auriga, Cepheus and Sanibel on board.
